This plastic characteristic of the brain, also known as neuroplasticity, is the ability for neural networks to change through growth and reorganisation. The brain begins to function in a way that differs from how it previously functioned.

For anyone living with reading or learning difficulties, there is a series of exercises that can help improve language, maths confidence and thinking – Fast ForWord.

Fast ForWord is a computer-based series of exercises created by neuroscientists and teachers that takes advantage of this brain plasticity to help children and adults who are struggling with reading and learning difficulties.

The exercises also benefit gifted individuals and those who may be recovering from strokes or traumatic brain injuries!
